Thanks for the explanation and gif, very helpful!

On a related note: is it possible to have a relationship between various projects represented in milestones? E.g. completion of one task is a milestone towards the completion of another (sequential, or larger/encompassing) task?

I would usually try to do this with subtasks, but with subtasks in freedcamp having only one level and no deadlines, etc, I wondered if using milestones applied across tasks would be a workaround.

Whether or not this is possible, I love seeing the milestones across tasks in the widget board. I’m still not comfortable with the way the different boards fit together– why not have the dashboard be on the same level with the task, widget and calendar boards? I keep thinking of these as four ways to see one’s home page (overview page) on freedcamp, but their not treated that way on the interface.

Thanks again for your work on this! We’re launching an ambitious project and adding new people, and freedcamp is bringing order to the chaos.

    Hi Ray,

We are releasing more advanced subtasks soon – see my response to Steve here in comments – http://blog.freedcamp.com/2015/10/13/sub-tasks-few-weeks-from-launch/

    >I’m still not comfortable with the way the different boards fit together– why not have the dashboard be on the same level with the task, widget and calendar boards?

We will add ‘Dashboard’ tab here https://freedcamp.com/dashboard/widgets on top and will allow you to define order of tabs and the first one will also become your home page in Freedcamp. A dedicated button on top left is also always leading to Home page.

Thank you for appreciating our work it really inspires and supports us!

    Cheers,
    Igor

Did you take the milestones function out of the program? I’m trying to follow the gif but I can’t see that option anywhere… Can you help me ?
