We, at Freedcamp, started our journey as a freemium business and want to keep providing a free tool for our users. We offer free features that let you fully manage all of your projects with as many people as you need – no strings attached.
Most freemium businesses were able to attract substantial capital to build their product without thinking of revenues. This hasn’t happened to us (yet), but we are not going to quit! We will continue to strive to be the simplest and most intuitive product on the market.
This has forced us to look for new and unconventional ways to source Freedcamp’s development. We started talking with our passionate business users and asking for feature sponsorship, which are in fact in our roadmap, where we knew we can not deliver them fast enough. Of course it is a secret what we’re cooking behind the scenes, but you will hear about new features as they are released.

I would like to see outlook integration for the tasks and the calendar. More specific, O365 integration. Are there any plans to do this?

If this feature set is not sponsored – we will launch new pricing, sell a lot of plans to businesses, grow our revenues, execute on our vision and do Outlook and Office integrations when all other things above it in our roadmap are crossed as completed.
I think it is a realistic plan.

This would be awesome but we also need money to pay our team to implement these ideas. So this agreement is mutually beneficial – we discuss and sign on improvements you miss and you sponsor it and we give you CRM for free and can add more perks depending an amount you paid us.

What is the obligations to become a sponsor and what are benfits?

Your company/team need feature A and our ETA is something you do not want to wait for. We discuss scope and if this is something a lot of Freedcamp users will also benefit from we provide a quote (you pay) and time to deliver it (we develop and deliver) in Freedcamp and what services we can offer you as a ‘thank you’ for your help. It is really individual, depends on scope and discussed in private.

This looks like an app I might be able to use in my business, right now I am like you and have no funding, but am hoping my FREE-forever offer will bring in paid revenues. In the meantime…what I understand is you can set up a place like freedcamp for my business? With the things I need just for my business? If I understand correctly, what I need is to be able to list some basic job information, be able to require a sign in (User ID and Password) for my to view this info. A good example is TrackRay.com which I am using now, but it has some “glitches” that are not good for my business, such as being able to select a specific group to send notice to. I can only send to all users or one individual user.
There are many project management software out there but they pretty much apply to big business with big prices.
So can you help?
